I’m a painter and I use these bowls scrapers for painting with oil and cold wax. They are flexible and the edge is soft helping to put the paint where I want it. I bought all these scrapers for a painting class I’m teaching.
Noreen C.
Your bowl scrapers are the perfect tool, shape and size for Oil and Cold Wax Medium Painting. I taught a class of 7 and this was the first time they used this tool. They loved them. 7 new customers for you!
Joan R.
I actual use this scrapper for art work. It spreads paint perfectly thin.
Sorry, I don’t use it for baking.
Nimisha K.
Great squeegee that ‘we’ use in art. Superb handling. Soft and pliable. Makes blending a doddle. Love it.

Love the silicone scraper! Use it for art technique -- Oil and Cold Wax.... Doesn't matter the color --- it is the 'scraper of choice' for spreading the wax! Also is a great scraper for spreading matte or gloss medium for other art techniques... Spreads materials with ease. And clean-up is easy too!
Rita T.
An absolute delight to use this!

Had to buy 4 more for a painting class I am tutoring....especially good for beginners.

I use the pot scraper to paint oil and cold wax landscape paintings. the very pointed tip and the softness of the silicone edges are exactly right for the job. In fact, it is so good, that a painting instruction company uses similar and sells various sizes. I prefer the real original ones, thank you!

There is no better bowl scraper for oil and wax application.!
Elizabeth D.
I purchased this as an art tool to use with oils and cold wax medium…. Very successful !

I had one so I gave 2 to a friend who bakes bread and biscuits. She says she doesn't know how she lived without it. I feel the same way!!

I’m a cook for 57 years, and it’s the best scraper I’ve ever had.
Valli M.
I purchased this scraper to use in my artwork. Love it! Does the trick!
Valli M.
I use the scraper for my art when I pour colors. May scrape through the color, leaving some in puddles and only having a haze of color where I’ve scraped the canvas hard. The flexible scraper is perfect for the job!!
Warren C.
Love the scrapers. I use them for art: cold wax oil painting, oil stick painting and art printing. They are much better than other silicone scrapers because of the stainless steel insert inside the scraper. That gives them rigidity and the silicone gives flexibility along the edges. Going to try them for their design use - cooking - should be great in kitchen.

I used this scraper for making my son's birthday cake and it got every drop of batter in the bowl. Easy to clean too. Loved it!

This product is a must for painting in cold wax. Also have one for ceramics and one for acrylic paints. A go to precut for crafts.

J'ai deux raclettes, mais me n'utilise que celle là, elle est parfaite.

This is an awesome dough/bowl scraper! Nice and solid with flexible edges; perfect for dough and cleaning the sides off the bowl for soft substances. You wouldn't be able to use it to chip off stuck-on goop!

I love it so much I ordered a second one. I bake bread and I have several bowl scrapers. This one is shaped perfectly! Shop the colors. The red one was priced at $20.00 and the green one $7.95. Bought the green one.

Yes it’s worth the $20 if you’re working with cold wax. I dispensable tool.

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT FOR COLD WAX PAINTING!!! I know it would be a great bowl scraper and kitchen tool, it is made SO WELL, but I use it for cold wax painting. It has the perfect amount of firmness and movement to make cold wax and oil butter onto your substrate. I would definitely market it in the oil and cold wax world. I have been using the Art silicon pieces for this at the art store, and they work half as well as this bowl scraper!! If they ever want to make art products, they are WELL on their way with this amazing product!!!

I use for cold encaustic

This product is well worth the cost. It is flexible and scrapes a bowel properly.

Works great for making dough

This is the only scraper recommended for spreading cold wax - oil painting: suggest Messermeister come out with smaller scrapers - like 2, 3, 4” scrapers for this kindof painting.
Dustin Stratton
Great for softer doughs/material. The silicone edges scrape very well. If the dough or material is firm the edges bend a bit so a plastic dough scraper is a better tool for the job.

Works great! Great in the kitchen or buy to use as an art tool. You decide.
Adrienne
It’s really soft, almost too soft. I bought it for baking but it wouldn’t scrape the bowl so now I use it in my studio for art
Will
I've been using the scraper for several months to scrape bread dough out of the bowl and off the counter during and after kneading. It works very well - the dough doesn't stick to it (I like to make wet doughs) and and it stands up very well.

Fabulous for art! So happy!

I am new to the medium, always used brush or pallet knife, this tool makes it easy and you can get multiple surface treatments with it. I highly recommend it.
Juliet Seignious
Use it regularly on my art work.

I use this product to remove dough and batter from bowls. The eccentric shape makes it possible to find a profile that will 'clean' variously shaped vessels and will also efficiently scrape a board. The inflexible interior is meant for working dough without deforming the tool. It works well to transfer chopped items to a pan. Scrape food safely from non-stick pans. Work dough on marble slabs without scratching the stone. I own and use more than one model of 'bench knife' or scraper and I am well-satisfied that this adds to my kit.

Great product, the right shape.

I purchased this product to use as a painting tool with oil and cold wax. It works beautifully, allowing an easily controlled spread of the medium. Will probably buy more.

I bought this item as an art tool in using oils, however since using it twice, I have now damage to the edge. I know that it’s general use is for baking, hence my 4stars.
jean wodzinski
it's a good bowl scraper for dough it will remove from the bowl all dough I used it to remove cake dough and bread dough
Astrid
Oil and cold wax painting is done with palette knives, brayers, and lots of other interesting tools. These are among my favorite--they are flexible without too much flex and provide a smooth surface that lets me apply paint either really gently or really get in there and move the wet layers around. I suspect they'd be good as bowl scrapers for the same reasons that they work so well on gessobord.... I'm just grateful that they are reasonably priced and very effective tools!

Great product

Works excellently on wet dough and batter in bowls, not so much on dry (but that’s what nylon is for). Easily the most useful simple tool I’ve added to my kitchen.

I've only used this once, when I was making scones recently. I was very pleased with the ease of handling and the way it worked in manipulating my dough. If you bake, this is a worthwhile purchase.

I use these to shape 5 minute bread. The dough doesn't stick and they are really easy to clean. You can also use them to cut chunks of dough for rolls.

As a pastry chef this tool is a must! It arrived when I needed it to. It does a wonderful job of getting every last ounce of product out of bowls. The little cut out is a great addition because it helps you grip the bowl scraper when working with large amounts of product so it doesnt slip out of your hand! I will be ordering this again.
Rhedia K. Stark
A wonderful tool!

Used for art. All the rest are rubbish - this is the one to ship that oil paint around!

These are handy little gadgets. I bought my first one to keep in my kitchen utensil drawers. They really work better than anything else I've found in scraping batter or other soft, gooey ingredients from a mixing bowl. The soft silicone edges (both curved and straight) hold tight to the hard surface of the bowl to remove every bit of batter and it removes the batter much faster than a silicone spoon or spatula can since it's larger with much more edge length. And cleanup is a breeze, too, since they're silicone. Rinse them and pop them in the dishwasher or else wash by hand. After seeing how well they work for cooking and baking, it occurred to me that they'd be helpful in moving certain artistic mediums--much like the silicone art tools that I bought at an art supply house. So, I bought a second one of these Messermeisters in a different color. It's great at spreading thick gesso, modeling paste, or softened wax over large canvases or panels. At first, I felt these scrapers were a bit pricey, but then I realized that I'd paid more than that amount for a much smaller silicone spreader at the art supply house. So, it's all good.
