Hand-wash with warm water and a mild detergent; rinse and dry immediately.
Do not place in dishwasher.
Avoid cleaners containing bleach or citrus extracts.
Oil the wood handle as needed with food-safe mineral oil.
These knives make a wonderful set. The handles have all the appearance of dark ebony, with none of the maintenance overhead (and deterioration) of actual wood. The blades are sharp as a razor and convey the look of high-quality honed steel.
The magnetic knife block, while modern looking and handsome display, is less practical when it comes to moving it between counters with exposed blades. I also don't buy the argument that it's more sanitary, as improperly washed knives will still press against the magnetic face of the block.
Knife block aside, these are outstanding knives that give every impression of lasting a lifetime.
